5 minute session Shapes and boxes
Boxes are the foundation of everything man-made. A phone, a table, a building and a room are one problem at four sizes.
طول نشست
Every object made by a person is a box, or a stack of boxes, or a box with the corners taken off. Learning to draw one convincingly is the largest single return available in drawing, and it costs about a week of short daily sessions.
The mistake that gives beginners away is drawing the edges that go away from you as parallel. They are not parallel on the page - they converge slightly, and how much they converge is what tells the viewer where they are standing. Parallel edges make a box look like badly folded card.
The second habit worth building here is drawing THROUGH the form: sketching the back corners you cannot see, lightly, before committing. It feels like extra work and it is the reason the visible corners end up agreeing with each other.
