By the end of this level you will be able to draw a box that looks like a box, an ellipse that sits flat, and judge proportions by comparison rather than by hope - which together cover most man-made objects you will ever draw.
The lessons
About this level
Level 1 was about finishing things. This one is about why they look the way they do.
Almost everything man-made is a box, a cylinder, or both, so this level drills those two forms hard and then applies them to real objects. The two habits that matter most are drawing through a form - sketching the corners you cannot see - and judging every new shape against one you already trust instead of against your idea of the object.
The practice drills pair with these lessons directly. Five minutes of ellipses before a mug lesson is worth more than twenty minutes of redrawing the mug.
